Some much needed sunshine in this gloomy weather!

We know the scene up here hasn’t been that great for the past few years, shows have dwindled and the amount of cars being built has gone downhill. With that said, finding a note worthy feature model here is like finding a ray of sunlight,  we know they exist, but only show up every so often.

Miranda Lee is one of those rays of sunshine that we’re finally happy to see and bask in.  She’s starting to make a name for herself as a model that actually works. By “works”, we mean, she doesn’t just stand there and look pretty (although she can do that too), but she brings back something that models have been missing for sometime now, showmanship. She interacts, she’s very sociable and loves all her fans and lets them know. You can catch up with her in the coming week at Formula D, and have her sign our flyer!

We caught up with Miranda on a nice, sunny, super hot day in Seattle… (honestly, it’s 65 and cloudy, July 1st)

NWMotiv:  Hi Miranda how are you doing?
Miranda: I’m doing great! How about yourself?

NWMotiv:  Wonderful! So tell me how does it feel to be a part of the NWMotiv movement putting the Northwest Import Community back on the map
Miranda: It feels great! I travel a lot around the country and I like to represent Seattle everywhere I go. I have a feeling that NWMotiv will become the largest representation of the Pacific Northwest import scene.

NWMotiv:  Thank you! So as I’m sure we all know that you are no stranger to the Pacific Northwest, but are you originally from Seattle?
Miranda: Yes, I was born and raised in the Greater Seattle region; on the Eastside in Bellevue.

NWMotiv:  We got us a Bellevue girl eh? So tell me a little about how you got into modeling?
Miranda: I started off modeling as a runway model for formal dresses back in 2005 as a favor for a friend. Later on, I was asked to do a photoshoot for a photographer friend because he was trying to build up his portfolio. I guess a few other photographers saw those pictures and it all started from there! Then my e-mail started to get flooded with photoshoot requests from different photographers and the rest is history!  I got the hint that I might have a knack for this kind of thing.

NWMotiv:  We agree you definitely have the “Knack!” When did that lead to your plunge into imports?
Miranda: I’ve always been interested in import cars! My first car show as a model was in 2008 at the Global Import and Domestic Car Show in Tacoma. From there, I was asked to gogo dance on stage at Hot Import Nights Seattle a few months later.  I’ve been around imports ever since!

NWMotiv:  Being around imports all the time now what’s your all time favorite car?
Miranda: The 2006 Nismo Z33 Fairlady.

NWMotiv:  Great taste! We like a girl that knows her cars! So we hear Dean recently took you for a ride in the V-LED/Intec Racing S14! How was that?
Miranda: That was such a fun and thrilling experience! That was the first and only time that I’ve gotten to ride along in a drift car. Hopefully it won’t be my last! |Smiles|

NWMotiv:  You definitely can cross that off your bucket list now!  I’m sure you have all sorts of guys that approach you all the time, what do you look for in a guy?
Miranda: I’m attracted to charming and smart men! If a guy can automatically open my door, pull out my chair, put his coat around me when I’m cold, and can keep an on-going intellectual conversation with me… I’d probably go weak in the knees. Yeah.

NWMotiv:  What are some of your absolute turnoffs?
Miranda: Definitely cockiness and bad body odor! I don’t care how good you look; if you think you’re better than everybody else and smell bad |Shudders| you certainly get voted off my island…

NWMotiv:  Fair enough! As I’m sure you’re a veteran of the Seattle Nightlife since we’ve ran into you numerous times!  What are some of your favorite places to eat after a long night of go-go dancing?
Miranda: Well, usually the only places to eat at around two in the morning around Seattle are in the International District. So I usually go to Honey Court or Purple Dot Cafe

NWMotiv:  We’re definitely up for some Honey Walnut Prawns after this!  Any final thoughts or people you’d like to thank?
Miranda: I’d like to thank my family, friends, and fans that support me! Especially my gogo squad: Simply Captiv8ng, IHeartModels, my Bay Area fam, and all my close friends that have been there since the very beginning of my modeling and gogo dancing career.
