You might remember me discussing the need to bring back car shows and if there is still a market for it… The saying goes “I told you so” comes to mind, but I won’t push my luck.

It’s been a long three months since we first started planning and promoting the NOS Energy Drink Forum Fest car show, a lot of headaches and unexpected turns really makes you wonder why you do what you do for the automotive industry and scene. It does not surprise me, but makes me happy to say that we almost got 100 more cars than we expected for Forum Fest. Based on events in the area, weather patterns and the economy, we had only based our car show figure on 150 registered and paid cars, we hit over 230 by the time pre-registration closed.

“Only 235 cars?” seems to be the general statement I hear from people that haven’t been in the scene long enough. Yes, only 235 cars, that might be short of the mega car shows of years past, but is a tremendous number when it comes to the short planning time for this event and the turn around our scene has made in the past few years.

We’re working hard and we plan on making the car show and event enjoyable for everyone this weekend, and a big thank you to everyone who registered for the car show, plans on attending, drag racing or drifting.
